Today at Fort Detrick in Maryland, I was honored to be the opening speaker for their kickoff of Sexual Assault Awareness and Child Abuse Awareness Month. The Commander on base gave a very passionate talk about ending Child Abuse and endorsed the importance of the presentation we were about to give. Both programs went great! The men and women were wonderful to work with.
This evening, Mike Domitrz appeared on NBC reacting to the comments by Juneau County (Wisconsin) District Attorney Scott Southworth about potentially pursuing criminal charges against teachers following state mandated curriculum.

This Senior student at Bitburg Air Force Base High School makes a strong statement about asking first and supporting sexual assault survivors. The last 2 weeks was filled with speaking to wonderful groups of high school students throughout Air Force Bases in Europe.
This Senior student at Lakenheath High School makes a strong statement about consent and asking first.
Within 5 minutes of the “Can I Kiss You?” presentation concluding at Alconbury Air Force Base High School in Alconbury, England, these 5 Seniors created the below role playing skit addressing alcohol and sexual assault. The students show you a creative way to address bystander intention (and did this all in 5 minutes).

For the past week, Air Force Base high school students, parents, and the 18 – 25 year olds have been participating in the “Can I Kiss You?” and “HELP! My Teen Is Dating” presentations on bases throughout Europe. The positive feedback has been overwhelming. The week started in Lajes, Portugal (one of the Azore Islands 600 miles out from Portugal in the Ocean). Next, I flew onto Aviano, Italy and then onto Incirlik, Turkey. Yes, 3 countries in 4 days and it has been rewarding!
