The DATE SAFE Project knows the military is full of passionate individuals who agree 100% with President Obama’s statements today to US Marines about ending sexual assault within our military ranks.
While conducting trainings on installations, I’ve heard military leaders tell their troops unequivocally that every individual in the military needs to do his/her part to stop sexual assaults from occurring. Over and over again, we hear from military members who are grateful to be receiving tools in the training sessions – tools that better prepare them for properly intervening when they see others in danger AND discovering precise steps for living with respect in their own lives (always respecting your partner’s boundaries).
Being one of the organizations the military turns to is an honor, especially knowing they look to us for providing skills-based training for reducing sexual assault.
