February is Teen Dating Violence Awareness & Prevention Month

Expert and speaker on Teen Dating Violence & Prevention discusses the age of consent as part of a series of videos for February being Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention Month.

In this first of a series of videos Mike Domitrz, author and speaker, discusses why parents often have stricter rules than the state age of consent in the state they live in. Middle school and high school students often struggle with these discussion.

In this second quick video, Mike discusses specific kinds of texts teens will send each other that can be extremely possessive and thus a sign of an unhealthy relationship. To reduce sexual violence, sexual assault, rape, dangerous sexting, and help teenagers understand healthy relationships, we must provide them specific skills – both in middle schools and high schools for all students. Sexual education and how sex ed is addressed is important.

Follow along as we release a new video each day in February.
