When you work with teenagers, you understand how much impact (good and bad) celebrities can have on people, especially younger individuals. In 2007 when I was speaking in an elementary school in South Africa, students were asking my sons if they knew Beyonce, David Beckam, and other celebrities. Why?
Because when many of these students thought of our country, they only knew of what they hear and see from people in the entertainment/sports industry.
