Inspired by the rape of his sister in 1989, Michael J Domitrz wanted to make a difference on the very uncomfortable subject of sexual assault. It became his quest to learn everything he could about the subject and then teach others about this serious topic. He became an expert on sexual assault, creating projects, books, DVDs, and other media to teach others about sexual assault.
In his book, May I Kiss You, Mr. Domitrz offers an in-depth look at dating, communication, respect and the importance of sexual assault awareness in a very fun to read and knowledgeable format.
According to Mr. Domitrz, “people do not notice their own behavior until they are given a new perspective.” His book prepares the reader with a healthy way of thinking about dating and offering interesting prospectives by challenging the reader to respond to scenarios and questions. And also including links to tools at the end of each chapter for students, parents and teachers on his website at www.mayikissyou.com.
Each chapter offers informative discussion, scenarios and interactive exercises that can help create more in-depth awareness about making dating a more positive experience. Mr. Domitrz in his book discusses how body language alone is not reliable and can be sometimes confusing.
This book can be used as a tool to use as a point of discussion for all ages. The information in this book is very informative, and can change the way you think about dating, and especially how body language is not reliable when it comes to dating. The key to successful dating is communication and respect.
I highly recommend this book for all ages, but especially teens because of it’s very easy to read language and format.
