“Courage is resistance to fear, mastery of fear – not absence of fear.”
~ Mark Twain (1835 – 1910)
As we have recently seen more discussions about bystander intervention, may we all remember Mark Twain’s words. When someone tells you, “I was too afraid to say anything,” remind him/her,
“Everyone is afraid. FEAR is your brain TELLING you something is WRONG and you must take ACTION. A time of fear is your greatest opportunity to show courage. Be Courageous and do the RIGHT thing!”
