Last week at a presentation for the Navy, a sailor in the audience said, “your talk made me realize it’s better to be awkward than stupid or disrespectful.”
The fear of being awkward is common, but lethal for sexual intimacy. Why? If you are not being awkward, you are not trying anything new. You’re not stretching yourself. Have enough confidence in yourself TO BE AWKWARD.
The reward? Dating partners tells us they love it when someone is daring enough to be awkward. An example of such bravery is: It’s more cool to dance badly than not to dance at all.
